Terms and Conditions Bushman's Clock Coastal Retreat

These pages set out our terms of engagement. Please read it and make sure you understand the scope of our engagement.

Please contact this office immediately if you do not understand, or wish to discuss, any aspect of the terms of this engagement.

Purpose and Scope

The engagement of Bushman’s Clock Coastal Retreat is to provide you with acommodation for the evenings you have chosen at the above rates.

The attached list on our website provides a list of resources at the cottage.

Subject to any agreement to the contrary, our agreement is limited to the above services noted.

Any changes to arrangements, such as dates, or cancellation, will be conducted with all efforts possible toward fairness by both parties, according to Australian and Victorian law. Guidelines can be found at:

The engagement will include the operations and procedures as detailed on the confidential page emailed to you upon payment, which you agree not to share with anyone else.

Below are the parts of that page relevant to this agreement:

House Manual

  1. The bathroom mirror has a cupboard behind it where you will find the hairdryer.
  2. The iron, ironing board and clothes drying rack are in the main bedroom wardrobe.
  3. There is a laundry outside below the cottage with washing machine and dryer.
  4. The laundry has a 2nd toilet and shower.
  5. There is extra firewood in the woodshed on the other side of the house.
  6. Please be mindful of your water usage and turn taps off as we are on limited tank water.
  7. Do not put anything other than toilet paper down the toilet as the septic system can’t take it.

House Rules

  1. Follow these rules to be a considerate guest and avoid any issues during your stay
  2. 4 guests maximum
  3. No pets
  4. Check-in: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  5. Checkout before 10:00 am
  6. Self check-in with Key safe
  7. No parties or events
  8. No smoking
  9. Please wash, dry and put away your dishes at the end of your stay and notify us of any breakages or chips to glasses and crockery.

Checkout instructions

  1. Gather used towels—leave all used towels in a pile on the bathroom floor
  2. Throw rubbish away—rubbish and recycling can be put in the bins on the driveway near the cottage
  3. Turn things off—turn off all lights, the air conditioner, electric blankets and the switches in the kitchen
  4. Close all the windows and lock the side door and the front door
  5. Put the keys in the key safe and make sure the key code is set to 0000
  6. Please make sure all the taps are turned off properly with no drips as we are on tank water.

Responsibilities

Bushman’s Clock Coastal Retreat will ensure that all services are provided in accordance with agreed timeframe in the email record of the booking form and to a professional standard.

Period of Engagement

This engagement will start upon acceptance of the terms of engagement by yourself as noted by execution of the email sent to you following payment.

Confidentiality

In conducting this engagement, information acquired by us during the engagement is subject to strict confidentiality requirements. That information will not be disclosed by us to other parties except as required or allowed for by law, or with your express consent.

Estimated Pricing

Until you have received a payment link in writing, any estimates which we provide to you of our anticipated fees, disbursements and charges for any are only indicative of the amounts you can expect to be charged. Estimates are not quotes and are not binding on us. Prices may include seasonal surcharges as well as discounts, based on the figure on the booking form and agreed by both parties if varied and then confirmed by email.

Professional Fees

The fee arrangement is based on the expected amount of time and the skill level of staff required completing the services at the respective daily or rates. Where quotations have been provided for specific services, these quotations will provide adequate detail of all time and allocated staff and rates. If circumstances of the services to be provided change from the original quotation, a new quotation between the two parties will be agreed before any further work is undertaken.

Terms of Trade

The terms of payment are strictly via credit card or direct bank deposit, and any booking is unconfirmed until payment is cleared. An itemised account of all charges, costs and disbursements will be sent to you by email
